The Midwest Agriculture Water Quality Partnership is a USDA Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) project that is co-lead by the Iowa Ag Water Alliance (IAWA) and the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. The project is an innovative public-private approach that has engaged a wide range of partners in improving water quality, soil health and habitat for at-risk species.

The initiative provides prioritized funding for five key Huc-8 watersheds in Iowa, including the Middle and Upper Cedar, to implement management and edge-of-field practices in support of the Iowa Nutrient Reduction Strategy.
